Intermediate Blues Lesson: 8:30pm - 9:30pm
Dexter Santos and Michelle Richter

Dexter and Michelle teach blues dancing in San Francisco and at various national events. Together, they have both won numerous awards including Blues Shout Strictly Ballroom Blues Division Champion 2007 and 2008. Their teaching focuses on connection, attitude and self-expression, and proper body mechanics. Dexter and Michelle are both inspired by the blues roots and wants to celebrate this art form with dancers of all levels.

Beginning Blues Lesson: 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Tim O'Neill

Tim O'Neill started dancing in 1997 and never stopped. He spent two years teaching ballroom at an Arthur Murray and was a member of the Hollywood Hornets, three time National Jitterbug Champions. Tim now runs the Blues Kitchen, which is dedicated to developing the Blues community within Los Angeles.

Steven Watkins (San Francisco)
Steven, a.k.a. Dr. Feelgood, originally hails from New York City, but Steven now calls San Francisco/Oakland home! He started dancing in 1998, and he began his Blues DJing career in 2004. Since then, Dr. Feelgood has been "thrilled" to be spreading his love for the Blues, with some smooth, gritty, sultry music, coupled with a great sense of musical timing.

Tina Davis (Dallas, TX)
Tina "Sweet T" Davis started doing the DJ thang in the great state of Florida in 2003 and now calls Dallas, Texas, her home. In addition to spinning her fave Blues, Lindy, and West Coast Swing tunes in Austin, she has been a featured DJ at many Blues events and Lindy exchanges in the US and Canada. Tina currently hosts a monthly blues dance in Austin, Texas, called "The Back Room."

Daniel Newsome (Seattle, WA)
Daniel Newsome is a jazz music and dance enthusiast from Seattle, Washington. Daniel played music for dancers 3 nights a week at the Mercury Cafe in Denver for over 8 years. Dan loves Rockabilly, Blues of all styles, Soul, Gospel, Jazz of all kinds and Gypsy music, but his strongest love is for 30s and 40s Swing.

Kristin Buxton (Pasadena, CA)
Kristin has been dancing for a decade and DJing since 2001. A regular DJ in Portland until 2005, she has since lived and DJed in Seattle and now Pasadena Kristin now DJs regularly at LindyGroove, doSomethingBlue, the Juke and other lindy hop and blues dances around So-Cal. Kristin also travels to DJ lindy and blues exchanges in San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and many other cities.

Shawn D. Coyle
Shawn got his start deejaying at the largest, weekly dance in Pittsburgh back in 1999. He soon become a favorite among the locals & spun for other dance events. Upon leaving Pittsburgh, he was a regular at Swing City, the Edgewood Club, Groove Juice, Chicken Swing, EoM (End of Month) Blues, & Late-Nite Blues. Shawn also deejayed for national events hosted in his home town: PittStop Lindy Hop and Pittsburgh Blues n'at Jazz (PBnJ). He now runs The Juke in Los Angeles.

Michelle Thissen & Chrissy Holt (Tustin, CA)
Michelle and Chrissy have been dancing Lindy Hop for 10 years but only recently joined forces.  Since that fatal day in 2008 when Atomic Blues Lounge was born you cannot find one without the other.  Michelle and Chrissy run a weekly Friday night Blues room at Atomics in Orange County where they teach introductory classes and play sweet sweet blues music to the early hours.
